 Gal Kol was founded in 1980 by Esther and Samuel Abuhav for the provision of recording services. The firm has a strong reputation in the video and audio field, offers a wide range of services.


Digitiztion Department
 
The Digitization Department carries out conversions from analog format (video or audio) to digital formats on a commercial scale. The department can convert up to 200 recorded hours per day.

The department provides the following services:

  • Digitization of recordings from analog format (video and audio) to digital format
  • Sound and image control improvements
  • Documentation and maintenance of database for the Metadata
  • Software development for management of Metadata
  • Logistics operation for customers’ property
  • Preservation and restoration of magnetic tapes

The department was established by an acoustic engineer with extensive experience in constructing recording studios and acoustic rooms, developing various analog machines, and handling the early digital hardware formats first developed in the late eighties.

 


Recording Studios

The studios are considered to be one of the largest and most advanced recording, mixing, and editing studios in the country. Most of Israel's well-known artists create and record here.


 

Legal Department

The Legal Department consists of a technical sound laboratory that handles recordings for legal purposes, such as noise reduction, transcripts of recordings, and provision of expert legal opinion for the courts of justice. The department's services are delivered to private lawyers, the public defender, and the Israeli Police.
